Hi Shane,
As I mentioned before the current 1-time purchases are not ideal in EM because:
-you have to create a 'membership' in EM even when using 1SC complete with passwords, etc even though you don't need them just to download a product and it's not a membership per se
-it creates a one time recurring fee in Paypal with 5 years timeline requiring the customer to have a paypal account and can be confusing and requiring additional explanation.
-selling one time payments, if requiring more expense for say 1SC then means I might as well use their email and affiliate marketing since i'm paying for it, thus I can use EMs lowest fee plan.

using 1sc or paypal separately would suck because it wouldn't create the email list in extreme member.

Hi there, as an update to this post about integration with http://www.extrememember.com/ you should note that you can sell one-time payment, ebooks, info products etc. via Extreme Member with the new 1Shoppingcart integration. This is seamless and works very well.

The other option if using Paypal as mentioned in your post is to bundle your ebook or whatever the product is with a 'Membership' as a value add. This is a powerful way to add value to your clients and over deliver.

Members only receive their username and email from our system automatically. But you can setup Autoresponders to go out at the same time upon registration. Plus, you can also have a clear 'thank you' / 'welcome' page with information for new purchasers to help make things crystal clear for your members.

Cheers
Shane
